She has tried every method of concealing her SCRAM bracelet by wearing boots, long trousers and maxi dresses.
But it seems Lindsay Lohan has now finally accepted that she will be wearing the alcohol monitoring ankle bracelet for the foreseeable future.
Instead of covering up, the 23-year-old actress stripped down to a revealing black cutaway swimsuit to make the most of the Los Angeles sunshine earlier this week.
Looking healthy and happy, Lindsay relaxed with friends and her sister Ali by the pool of a hotel, apparently not caring who saw her unsightly anklet.
She is said to have relaxed on sunloungers reading movie scripts as she attempted to top up her golden tan.
It was recently announced Lindsay would be taking on the role of legendary porn star Linda Lovelace in new movie Inferno, directed by Matthew Wilder.
And despite having little success in the movie industry in recent years, Lindsay will 'blow people's minds' in the new role, according to Wilder.
He said: 'Both Lovelace and Lindsday grew up in this case where there was kind of this whole industry built around them.
'(Fans are) not going to see this whacked-out person... They're going to see the artist coming out.
'I feel like when this actually comes out and when you see what the movie is and what she's doing, it's going to be so unexpected that it's going to actually kind of blow people's minds.'
Lindsay is also rumoured to be starring in upcoming adventure comedy The Dry Gulch Kid alongside Jackass star Johnny Knoxville.
The actress recently found herself in trouble when her SCRAM bracelet went off at the MTV Movie Awards.
Despite denying drinking any alcohol, her bail was increased from $100,000 to $200,000.
She is also required to attend weekly alcohol-education classes and complete drug tests in order to stay out of jail.
